i) To promote, build, develop and maintain a sacred place of worship where people of diverse cultures, creeds, religions, and personal backgrounds may pursue the joining together of the human and the divine Self, and the creation of a life that is sacred.

ii) To join with the Village of Light Ashram in the United States in supporting, promoting, and manifesting GurujiMa’s teachings and energy, while acknowledging that some practices may need to be adapted for the Village of Light, Thiru, due to historic and cultural differences.

iii) To study the needs of the surrounding villages and towns, and of the planet as a whole, and to respond to these needs with spiritual, educational, and physical programs that will benefit the greater Whole. In relation to the local area, our sacred focus shall be upon feeding people who are in need.

iv) To make available to the public healing resources that operate in partnership with divine healing. These include meditation, healing retreats, yoga, kirtan, sound healing, and other healing resources that shall be deemed to resonate with the sacred nature of Village of Light – Thiru.

v) To develop and promote sacred land use in order to create a self-sustaining community, with attention given to the unity of the entire physical organism being managed as one unit, with animals, plants, trees, and people all existing in harmony with each other. To develop and maintain agricultural practices that will most effectively sustain the life of this community.

vi) To maintain the principles of balance and harmony interactively in relation to what is received as donations and other forms of support, and what is given, reciprocally, to those who are part of the Village of Light community and in service to its goals, who may be in a state of need. Such support may be thought of as helping to sustain the community as a whole.
